Frequently Asked Questions

  • With this elevated experience, fans can view available products in-person at our Fanatics event, then bid online, and pick their items up within the same day if they are the winning bidder. Available daily auction listings can be found here. If you see something you would like to bid on, you must sign in or register

Keep in mind that you must create a new account to place a bid on this website even if you previously created an account on the separate Fanatics Auctions website on Fanatics.com. If you choose to have your item shipped in lieu of on-site pick up, the amount charged at checkout will be the winning bid amount, plus $4.99 for standard shipping (which means the item will ship in up to 30 days from checkout, unless otherwise noted on the product page), $1.99 for handling fees, and applicable taxes.

  • Only those that are 18 years or older or the age of majority in their jurisdiction and otherwise meet the eligibility requirements can participate.  See here.

  • You will need to be registered with FanAuctions to bid. Once you are ready, enter your bid amount and click 'Bid Now'. Please note, bids are FINAL once placed.
  • A buyer’s premium is a percentage fee from the winning bid that some auction houses collect once the auction closes. We do not charge a buyer’s premium.
  • We may set a “reserve” for certain auctions and, if we do, the applicability of a reserve price to the auction will be posted in the item listing. A reserve price is the minimum amount that one must bid for the item to be sold in the auction. Only bids placed at or above the reserve price are eligible to win the auction. If the reserve price is not met by the time the auction ends, there will be no winner of the auction.
  • In a Standard Auction, the winning bid will be the bid that is the highest dollar amount at the time the auction closes, subject to any applicable reserve amount.  To be accepted, each bid in a Standard Auction must exceed the previous highest bid, including meeting any applicable minimum bid increment disclosed for that auction.

In a Dutch Auction, there can be more than one item at a time available for bidding and there can be as many winning bidders as there are items available for bidding. The winning bidders will be those individuals who place the highest dollar amount bid for the auction above the reserve price, if applicable, subject to availability.  For example, if there are 20 items available and there are more than 20 bidders for those items, the bidders who place the highest dollar amount bid will be the winning bidders. At the close of the auction, the price of each item for the winning bidders will be set at the lowest dollar amount of the winning bids. For example, if there are 20 winning bidders, and the lowest dollar amount bid of those 20 winning bids is $10.00, then each of the 20 winning bidders will pay $10.00, plus applicable taxes, shipping charges and handling fees for the item.  In the event of multiple bids for the same quantity that are tied at the lowest qualifying level at the end of the Auction, the winner(s) among such tied bids will be determined based on earliest received.

You can learn more about Standard Auctions and Dutch Auctions here.

  • To place a bid, you must meet the eligibility requirements here, have a registered account, and be signed into the account.   You must checkout with a valid method of payment if you are a winner. Once you find something you would like to bid on, enter your bid amount and click Bid Now. Please note, bids are FINAL once placed and there is no option to cancel.

  • You can create an account by clicking here.

I previously created an account on the separate Fanatics Auctions website. Can I use my same credentials on this website to place a bid?

No, you must create a new account to place a bid on this website.

  • For some auctions and/or bid amounts, we may require you to provide a credit card authorization, references, identification, and/or complete other steps designated by us (such as a deposit), to verify your eligibility and financial status. Credit determinations are made by us in our sole discretion, at any time before, during, or after the auction. We also reserve the right to not accept, reject, or refuse to honor a bid at any time in our sole discretion.
  • No. Payment for Auction items will be collected at the close of an Auction if you are the winning bidder. Within the timeframe specified, we must receive payment in full in the amount of the winning bid, plus any applicable taxes, shipping charges and handling fees before any item is delivered. To the extent the Auction Items are available on-site for pick-up and you elect pick-up as your delivery method at checkout, you will not be charged for shipping.
  • Your maximum bid amount is the highest price you are willing to pay for an item (subject to any applicable taxes, shipping charges and handling fees). When you place your maximum bid amount, your bid will be processed in the designated bid increment amount above the current bid. If you are outbid, the system will automatically place bids for you at the bid increment until your maximum bid is reached. By way of an example, if an auction opens at $10 with a $1 bid increment and you place a maximum bid of $100, your bid will initially be processed at $11. If another bidder places a bid at $12, the system will automatically bid $13 for you and will continue up to your maximum bid amount of $100.
  • Yes. If your maximum bid amount has been outbid, you can either place another maximum bid amount or enter each subsequent bid one at a time. To increase your current bid amount, simply return to the auction listing and enter and submit a new, higher maximum bid amount.
  • All bids are made in automatic increments that we will set for each item (e.g., an increment might be $5, $10, $25 or another amount). We set bid increments on an item-specific basis at our sole discretion. Bid increments may vary per item and will be displayed on our website when you go to place your bid.
  • This can happen when a bidder has placed a higher maximum bid. You can place a maximum bid of your own to try to outbid the current winning bid, or you may choose to continue bidding in the increments indicated until your bid is accepted.
  • You should receive an e-mail. However, there can be unpredictable delays in e-mail transmission. We suggest that you regularly check your bid status on the website by going to Account Home > Bid Status.
  • You can monitor your bidding activity by going to Account Home > Bid Status.
  • In some cases, it's possible that another bidder's maximum bid is greater than yours, but by less than the standard bid increment applicable to the auction. For example, you bid $100 in an auction with a standard bid increment of $5. That means anyone bidding after you must bid at least $105 to beat your bid. However, if someone previously entered a “proxy” bid (click here to learn about “proxy” bids”) of $101, they will automatically become the high bidder at $101 and will be ahead of you unless/until you place a higher bid.
  • No. Bids are automatically accepted as entered by the bidder, are FINAL, and cannot be canceled. Thus, please use caution when placing your maximum bid.
  • Real-time bid refresh is in place to deliver the best possible online auction experience by presenting the most up-to-date auction information (including Auction Time Remaining, Bid Count, and Current Bid Amount) without the need to manually refresh the current browser page.
  • Once an auction has closed and if you are the winning bidder, you will receive an e-mail notification with a link and instructions on how to pay for the item(s) you have won. Failure to complete valid payment within the time specified in any notification we send you about a failed payment may result in us voiding the auction and canceling your bid.
  • Real Time Bid Refresh is set to automatically deactivate after 12 minutes of inactivity on a page that presents auction data such as Auction Time Remaining, Bid Count, and Current Bid Amount. This is to ensure that, in case an active browser session is forgotten and left open, users do not have fresh data constantly feeding into their active browser session and unnecessarily using up network data. When presented with the message "Real Time Bid Refresh is no long active on the site", users can choose to click the "Reactivate" button, which will cause the system to resume pushing up-to-date auction data into the active browser session, or users can click "Cancel", which will prevent Real Time Bid Refresh from reactivating on the current page. Note: if a user chooses to click "Cancel" when presented with this message, they will NOT be shown the most up-to-date auction data, or any new bid activity placed on the listing by other customers. However, manually refreshing the browser window OR clicking through to a new auction page will cause Real Time Bid Refresh to reactivate automatically.
